Several key temperatures in processing plastic bottles

Several key temperatures in plastic bottle processing:

As we all know, plastic bottles need to be heated and cooled in the production process, and the temperature must be well controlled in order to produce high-quality plastic bottles. Here, the professional and technical personnel of the manufacturer will introduce some key temperatures during the processing of plastic bottles:

(1) Melting temperature: what professionals call a crystalline polymer, that is, the temperature at which the three-dimensional long-range ordered state of the macromolecular chain structure transforms into a disordered and viscous state, also known as the melting point. is the lower limit of the molding processing temperature for crystalline polymers.

(2) Glass transition temperature: refers to the temperature at which an amorphous polymer (including the amorphous part of a crystalline polymer) changes from a glassy state to a highly elastic state or from the latter to the former. It is the lowest temperature at which the macromolecules of amorphous polymers can move freely, and also the upper limit of the working temperature of the product.

(3) No-flow temperature: the highest temperature at which no flow occurs under a certain pressure. A certain amount of plastic was added to the barrel at the upper end of the capillary rheometer mold, heated to a certain temperature, and after constant temperature for 10 minutes, a constant pressure of 50MPA was applied. If the material does not flow out of the mold, it is difficult to heat the material by 10 degrees after decompression, and then apply the same constant pressure after holding for 10 minutes. This continues until the melt exits the mold and the temperature drops by 10 degrees, which is the no-flow temperature of the material.

(4) Flow temperature: refers to the temperature at which the amorphous polymer changes from a highly elastic state to a viscous state. is the lower limit of the processing temperature of amorphous plastics.

(5) Decomposition temperature: It means that when the temperature of the polymer in the viscous state is further increased, the degradation of the molecular chain will intensify, and the temperature when the polymer molecular chain is significantly degraded is the decomposition temperature.
